Early college programs offer high school students the chance to earn a high school diploma and an associate degree simultaneously. These programs provide a head start on college by enabling students to earn college credits while still in high school. Participants experience college culture, explore academic interests, and save time and money by completing college coursework alongside high school requirements. Early college programs prepare students for their next steps, whether attending a four-year university or starting a career.

Applying to an Early College at 91��ѡ

Students apply to early college programs during 8th grade. 91��ѡ offers three early college programs, each with its own application timeline. Be sure to check the specific program for deadlines and requirements. Starting early will give you enough time to complete the application process.

Early Colleges

Students at Chatham Early College, located at the Chatham Center for Innovation in Siler City, can take early college courses through 91��ѡ. Operated by Chatham County Schools, this program emphasizes individualized, collaborative, and project-based learning. Participants can earn both a high school diploma and an associate degree tuition-free.
In partnership with Harnett County Public Schools, Harnett Early College enables students to earn a high school diploma and credits toward an associate degree tuition-free. The program covers fees and textbooks and is available at locations in Dunn and the Benhaven community.
Lee Early College, operated by Lee County Schools, is a public high school located on 91��ѡ's Lee Main Campus in Sanford. Students can earn both a high school diploma and an associate degree tuition-free, with books and fees fully covered.
